Beedyo

Book and access the experience. Create a video. Pitch to the world your craft, share with friends, earn money, and provide guests a memorable time.
Creating an open video platform app that will allow the Creators (Entrepreneurs/Coaches/
Product Founders) to post videos to promote themselves and offer meetup slots for guests. The Guests, on the other hand, will be able to interact (comment, like, book) with them, mostly by booking a seat on the offered slot.

The Challenge
Many product developers, entrepreneurs and startup founders find it difficult to reach out to the right audience and share, either their experience or the products they are working on. Also, building a good personal brand (so people can trust the things they do) is another challenge. Take example of Kickstarter for instance, it allows the creators to build a campaign and pitch the product to people who want to invest in innovative products. But the creators and pledgers really don’t have any way to physically ‘Interact’ with each other and share ideas and experiences.
The Process
The process begins with the research stage where it is essential to engage in the discussions and brainstorms with the team. This helps to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by the users. By actively listening to real-time user feedback, we can identify their needs and determine what should be included in the Design System.
User Interviews
In order to realize what problems users face and what motivates them to use a platform like this, we conducted interviews with product developers, entreprenuers, who had a general knowledge about Beedyo to determine their understanding of such platform. We did 5 user interviews. With the user research we wanted to;
01

Learn how users generally feel about sharing their experiences online.

02

Identify what motivates them to share the knowledge or skills they possess.

03

Understand how and what issues they have dealt with regarding this.

04

Determine their feelings regarding using an online platform for such issue.

Pain Points
01

Unavailability of platform that lets user interact with eachother

02

Platforms that are available does not pay well

03

Unable to reach to the right audience

04

Platform doesn’t allow to schedule a physical session or meetup

05

Platforms doesn’t allow flexible timeslots as per the user’s choice

06

Lack of authentic users on the platform

The Solution
After thorough research, we found opportunities to minimize the frustrations for the users. The solutions we came up with were in line with the mission and vision of Beedyo. We designed an app that would enable them to;
01

Creating an open video platform app that will allow the Creators (Entrepreneurs/Coaches/Product Founders) to post videos to promote themselves and offer meetup slots for guests. The Guests, on the other hand, will be able to interact (comment, like, book) with them, mostly by booking a seat on the offered slot.

02

Beedyo solves this problem of innovators, startups and budding entrepreneurs by giving them a chance to reach out to the right audience more easily. They can create different events (event = a product launch, a small gathering for experience sharing or anything of that sort and scale) and gather people to share whatever they like, all the while making some quick money for that.

03

Beedyo solves the problem of the users needing the timeslots they desire by allowing them to choose a timeslot of their choice whether they’re creators or someone booking a slot.

04

Beedyo also solves the problem regarding the authenticity of the users on the platform by adding an extra layer of authenticity. All the users on the platform need to connect their social account(s) to their profile in the Beedyo app.

Wireframes

To kickstart the design process, I began by creating sketches using pen and paper. These initial sketches allowed me to iterate quickly, exploring different visual concepts and mapping out the user flow. By working with traditional tools, I was able to capture ideas swiftly and bring initial design concepts to life.

After refining the sketches, I translated them into mid-fidelity wireframes, digitizing the design concepts for the first round of user testing. These wireframes provided a structured representation of the user interface, highlighting key interactions and layout elements. Through user testing sessions, I gathered valuable feedback and insights, ensuring that the wireframes aligned with user expectations and needs.

By utilizing a combination of traditional sketching and digital tools, I facilitated a rapid and iterative design process. The initial sketches allowed me to explore diverse design directions and establish a solid foundation for the user flow. Converting the sketches into mid-fidelity wireframes then enabled me to test and validate the design concepts, making necessary refinements based on user feedback.

Design System

After creating the initial wireframes and conducting user testing, I proceeded to design high-fidelity mockups to refine the visual aspects of the project.

But first, with a deep understanding of the application’s needs and the targeted audience, I embarked on creating a comprehensive design system specifically tailored for Beedyo. This design system serves as a foundation for consistency, efficiency, and seamless user experiences throughout the application.

By carefully considering the user interface, visual elements, and interaction patterns, I developed a design system that reflects the brand identity of Beedyo while ensuring intuitive navigation and optimal usability. The design system encompasses a range of components, including typography, colour palettes, iconography, and spacing guidelines, all meticulously crafted to create a cohesive and visually appealing user interface.

Mid to High Fidelity

After creating the design system, building upon the insights gained from user testing, I carefully crafted the high-fidelity mockups to ensure a polished and engaging user experience.

Throughout the design process, I maintained a user-centric approach, ensuring that the mockups aligned with the project’s objectives and met the needs and preferences of the target audience. By incorporating user feedback and iterating on the designs, I refined the mockups to optimize usability and enhance overall user satisfaction.

The high-fidelity mockups serve as a bridge between the conceptual wireframes and the final product, providing stakeholders and development teams with a clear visual representation of the intended user interface.

The Result

Our app, Beedyo, is specifically designed to address the challenges faced by innovators, startups, and budding entrepreneurs. By providing them with a powerful platform, we offer a unique opportunity to connect with their target audience more easily and effectively.

Through Beedyo, users can create events tailored to their specific needs, whether it’s a product launch, an experience-sharing session, or any other gathering. This flexibility allows them to showcase their ideas, products, or services to a curated audience, ensuring maximum impact and engagement.

By leveraging the app’s features, users not only have the opportunity to share their knowledge, experiences, or innovations but also have the potential to generate revenue. Beedyo enables users to monetize their events, providing a valuable avenue for entrepreneurs to earn income while sharing their expertise.

The app acts as a facilitator, bringing together like-minded individuals, industry professionals, and potential customers in one centralized platform. By connecting innovators with the right audience, Beedyo empowers them to expand their reach, build meaningful connections, and unlock new opportunities for growth.

This is an excellent company! I personally enjoyed the energy and the professional support the whole team gave to us into creating website.
